Thanks for this. We have been trying to map your trip by the sequence of posts but this makes it much easier. Our map of your trip looks cool, and maybe we can take a picture and send it to you.

Hi folks,

we met in Xian while bicycling on the old wall surrounding the town on october 13th 2009.
Perhaps you remember the family with the 2 blonde children?

After Xian we travelled to Chengdu and Chongqing, where we entered a boat to follow the Yangtze downstream.
From Yichang we returned to Germany via Beijing.
Our journey was guided by a chinese teacher, who is giving lessons at our childrens school. She brought as in contact with chinese families, where we stayed a while taking part in chinese way of life.

Now beeing back well we send you our best wishes for further travelling.
We hope, your nightmares will be forgotten by now.
If your plans will lead you to germany, keep in touch.

With best regards

Jan, Elisabeth, Alexander and Katherina

For the record … it is Banff, with an ‘n’ not an ‘m’. We read with pleasure your travels, even the less pleasant aspects are fun. Keep writing!
